Gregg Robertson

Gregg is the President of the Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association (PLNA), the leading trade association representing Pennsylvania's $6.8 billion green industry. Its 750 members include landscape contractors, retail garden centers, wholesale nurseries, and greenhouses that are primarily engaged in producing outdoor living environments to improve economic value, air quality, water quality, and human health.

Gregg spent much of his career (18 years) working in the Pennsylvania state government, most recently as the Deputy Secretary for Field Operations at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources, but his career has stretched from VP of Finance at the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce to creating a start-up Internet company during the height of the Dot-com Bubble. For the last 10 years, he has enjoyed what he considers to be an “awesome job” in the world of association management with PLNA.

“I come to work every day excited and thankful to be in this position,” Gregg said.

This August, Gregg and his life-long sweetheart, Jane, will be celebrating their 41st wedding anniversary. He and Jane have 2 beautiful daughters, 2 wonderful sons-in-law, and 4 above average grandkids, ages 1 to 13.

Gregg is a mover and a shaker. In their free time he and his wife enjoy a ton of outdoor activities including, biking, skiing, and sailing. Gregg is also an avid gardener and particularly likes mid-Atlantic native plants and the birds they attract. He even grows peppers to make and bottle his own hot sauce.

Gregg truly enjoys his job, and although it doesn’t appear to be on the horizon anytime soon, he does plan on retiring someday.

“Retirement is not something I think about much. I like working too much. But, when I do, you may find me building a wooden sailboat in my basement, tending my garden, or traveling with Jane,” Gregg said.
